Wrapped by Daddy.

Picture
Its so great to be finally back in the studio. I am doing things a little differently. We all have to do our bit to help get back, these include my gorgeous newborn sessions. For the time being these will be wrapped sessions. I can guide you through how to wrap and place your baby. I will be there to assist and there will be minimal contact through the session.

This gorgeous little one was wrapped by his Daddy and what a great job he did! It does make the session more fun! So while things are a little different in the studio, together we can still create some lovely photographs for you to treasure.

To book your session please get in touch

Newborn sessions, new baby sessions I say.

Picture
Just a little check in with you all, with all the craziness and uncertainty that is going on in the world, I just wanted to see how everyone is doing. I know a lot of my clients are upset and anxious they have missed 'the newborn stage' for their photographs while this is I suppose true in certain ways, it does not mean we wont get some gorgeous photographs you can treasure once all this is over.  With the lock down effecting pretty much everyone in some shape or form I find myself with out clients photographs to edit, so I thought I would actually sort photographs of my own children. I have decided to design and have made a gorgeous photo album of a medley of my children's 'newborn' photos. Now I do mean Newborn in inverted commas because it turns out the photographs I have of my children are out of the stage most photographers class ideal for newborn photography. Do I love them any less? No! Do they still look small, new to the world? Yes! Trust me I am writing this next to my nearly 7 year old, while he listens to his iPod, they grow up fast... I couldn't tell you off the top of my head how old he was in the photos I took of him (without looking at the date.), he could still fit in my arms, he was in tiny vests, he was keeping me up all night screaming (a lot) He was still my new baby.

So please rest assured we will still get beautiful photographs for you, it might take longer. Your baby or babies might be more awake by then but generally with patience they will go sleep. We only need a short time to get the sleepy photos. I will have drinks and biscuits for you, meaning you can sit back and relax. They may have have outgrown some of the newborn props I have... isn't it fun to be creative and unique? I personally think a pandemic is an ideal time to throw the rule back out the window, don't you think?

Please message me if you want to discuss your New baby session for when this has all passed. For all you new Mummy's a massive congratulations to you.

My lovely tribe while we stay home and safe in our garden.

Take care everyone and stay safe. Stay home.

Covid-19 ....

Picture
A little update, like most businesses Lacie Cox Photography is currently closed for photo sessions. I am still busy editing sessions and attempting to update everything. Most of you know I am also a Mum to four boys so the homeschooling two whilst entertaining the two younger ones should be interesting to say the least.

I am looking forward to getting back photographing, I am still taking bookings. If you have a session booked with me then please get in touch, credit notes will be offered to any session effected due to Covid-19 and I am following government guidelines throughout this time. This is my business and its such a worrying time for all self-employed people, supporting each other we can get through this.

Please if you have any questions then get in touch, I might take a little longer to reply but I will get back to you.

I love this cheeky photo from one of the last Fairy Sessions I did, we all need a little silly right now.

Much love, stay safe and stay at home.

Shhh... baby sleeping

Picture
Shhhh, baby sleeping.... Don't we all wish we could sleep like a baby, erm no, not really. If your newborn was anything like my first! I would rather be able to sleep like my husband.
Yes some newborns sleep through their entire newborn session this is not always the case. I only need a short time of them asleep to be able to get the photos we need. Patience, calm and milk play a key role. I can't wait to get back into the studio to meet new families.

calm before the storm

Picture
Now this really was the best session before the lock down was implemented. Perfectly timed. Gorgeous little girl with her Mummy and Daddy, it truly was a pleasure photographing them.

I can't wait to get back to photographing once it is safe to do so again. I am so grateful to all my wonderful and supportive clients at this awful and uncertain time.
If you would like any information on my newborn sessions please get in touch.
Stay safe, stay home.

At home newborn photography

Best laid plans..... Sometimes the newborn session you have in your head, in the studio with your baby under 5 days old doesn't always go to plan and that's fine. I find it works the best when Mummy feels better, happy Mummy 100% equals a happy baby. So much changes when you have your baby, then their are the hormones, the birth to throw into the mix. I am happy to fit around you and your new family for my photography. Working together will get the best results.

Emily and James Wedding at Grendon Lakes

Picture
Emily and James wedding at Grendon Lakes. I just loved editing these, I was smiling throughout. What a fun, emotional day. Fantastic best man speech, I think if you get the expressions he did, you did good! Dinosaurs featured heavily throughout the day, can you spot them? Spot the castle, apparently Emily wanted to get married in a castle and in true Dad form he made it happen. Emily looked stunning, we was so lucky with the weather as the morning looked 'iffy' I think we went through every sky colour, which just made some absolutely stunning photographs. Enjoy!
